Using light tackle to cast paddletails is a fun way to carp, and almost every monster may find one. However, there are a few specifics to keep in mind if you want to target slot-sized crimson in particular.

- Make sure your leadhead is large enough to reach the bottom because the best way to fish these lures most of the time ( with the exception of vision fish in the ocean ) is to bounce along it. In light of this, you’ll also need to use curl major and a rod sensitive enough to feel the lure tap down. - A slow, wobbly drop is frequently what the reds ca n’t resist striking, so choose the lightest head that allows you to feel bottom.
