Local Ozarks rider and Ride Texas contributor, David Bell, reports on Day 1 of Bikes, Blues & BBQ in Rogers, AR, September 20-23, 2023.
It’s the first official day of the 2023 Bikes, Blues and BBQ( BB & BBQ ) in Rogers, Arkansas, from September 20 to 23, 20, as I write this.
The exchange spreads out across Northwest Arkansas, Southwest Missouri, and Northeast Oklahoma, though Rogers is the true ground zero.

I visited Pig Trail Harley-Davidson and Heritage Motorcycles earlier this year. They were preparing for the debauchery of motorcycles, music, and food, along with many others.

I took the quick trip to Eureka Spring on Wednesday, the first day of the protest, from my Berryville home, which is only 12 miles to the east on one of Ozarks’ top 10 riding roads, AR 221. It is known as” Race Track Road” by the visitors.

Yesterday, I got to know a lot of really good people. Everyone appeared to be having fun exploring the old mountain in addition to riding the local roads. I quickly struck up conversations with people from Wisconsin, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, and Oklahoma. A couple from Wisconsin had a unique, one-of-a-kind rat bike( see image below ).

Despite the cloud cover, it didn’t fog. Although it might rain during the march, I don’t believe it will be a disaster. As BB & BBQ develops, keep an eye out for more reporting and images.
