Everyone welcome Pam Hawes!
She is an Archivist who has been engaged by the H. E. Butt Foundation to reorganize their historical documents and artifacts. Her primary objective is to make the collection at the H. E. Butt Foundation Archive more accessible to the employees of the Foundation and outside organizations for research. Before starting work with H. E. Butt Foundation, Pam worked 30 years as a Texas educator and another 4 years as a consultant. After a successful career in education Pam entered retirement and became interested in Texas History. She has volunteered at The History Center of Aransas County where she assisted her daughter in the planning and presentation of the Connie Hagar exhibit. She joined her daughter to assist her when she began the restructuring of the H. E. Butt Foundation Archive. She continued that work when her daughter moved abroad. Pam enjoys researching her and her husband’s genealogies and their connection to Texas History.
