Phillips 66 and Kinder Morgan have announced the expansion of their West Coast pipeline project in Texas to facilitate natural gas transportation to markets in Arizona and California.
The 1,300-mile refined fuel project, named the Western Gateway Pipeline, will be able to supply 200,000 barrels per day with the announced expansion capacity. “This shift allows those volumes to remain in California, increasing supply availability for in-state markets,” the project’s website describes.
