Panther Island in Fort Worth is progressing as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks out requests for new construction.

Before the close of the year, building on the Trinity River’s North Bypass Channel may be starting.

The route is a component of the Central City Flood Control Project, which is frequently confused with the Panther Island restoration of a major city in Fort Worth along the Trinity River.
