Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, February 12, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department ( TPWD ) will open TX- 29 in Aransas Bay to commercial and recreational oyster harvest.
According to samples late gathered by TPWD, TX- 29 and TN-30 meet reopening criteria. These requirements include requirements for oysters that can cross specific thresholds based on the quantity of 3 inches or larger oyster that are legitimate size.
All areas that are now closed for harvest may be monitored by TPWD, and they will resume when they meet the required thresholds. These places are open to public oysters produce as of February 12:
