Obituary: Mr. Arthur Calvin Oliver

April 20, 1963 – June 12, 2019

Arthur Calvin Oliver of Tuleta, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 20, 1963 to Clifton Oliver and Ann Stellman Oliver.

Calvin married Dorothy Hubbard on March 5, 1983 in Camp Wood, Texas.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his Loving wife Dorothy Hubbard Oliver of Tuleta; daughters Nichole Collins and husband TJ of Tuleta, Casey Dunn and husband Clint of Kenedy, Maria and Amanda Lyssy of Corpus Christi, and Lacey Laqua of San Angelo; sons Trey Nance and Stephen Foster; grandchildren Caethelyn, Maelyn, Dizelyn, and Brysian Collins, Alyssa Dunn, Jayden Willeford, Avery and John Michael Lyssy, and Ariel Moreno.

Other family members left to honor and cherish his memory are his aunt Jewel Wilson; sister Carolyn and companion Jim of Ingleside; brothers Leo and companion Bonnie of Ingleside and Craig and wife Kim of Tuleta; nieces and nephews Amanda and Jonathan Lewis, Jonathan Oliver, Brittney Oliver, John Herbst, Dawn Oliver, and Jessicah Oliver; great nieces Cayleigh Lewis, Brooke, Zaryah, and Lily Turner; great nephews Sage and Kelby Herbst; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Ann Oliver; his mother and father-in-law Virgil and Ethel Hubbard; his buddy and best friend Juan Monsivais; and his best friend Don Nance.

Pallbearer include John Herbst, George Aguilar Sr., Dwayne Laqua, Tommy Foster, Quint Harris, and Stephen Foster Mejia.

Honorary pallbearers include Pat Foster, Charles Lout, Tony Collins, Jonathan Oliver, Brymer, Boyce Laqua, Clint Dunn, Wayland Simmons and Officers in Grey.

Viewing will be held 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Camp Wood, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Camp Wood, Texas. Burial will follow in the Barksdale Cemetery in Barksdale, Texas.

Arrangements are under the personal care of Nelson Funeral Home, Camp Wood, Texas.
