
Nearly 3, 800 students received additional funding through the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts ( TEFA ) program.
Through Senate Bill ( SB ) 2 during the 89th Legislative Session, education savings accounts ( ESA ) were established to allow parents to pay for private school tuition, homeschool supplies, tutoring, and other costs. TEFA awards approximately$ 10,500 to qualified students, up to$ 30, 000 to students with disabilities, and$ 2, 000 to students who attend homeschool.
