I was very intrigued as I read the article on speckled trout hybrids in the May / June issue. I looked into the orangemouth corvina, which they used to cross fish, and I’d really like to get one. Do you believe the state will actually stock these hybrid once more?

Editor: I don’t believe that speckled trout / corvina hybrids will ever be restocked. According to what I have seen, the program was killed when I mentioned in the article how southern officials were concerned about corvina apparently entering bay or Gulf waters and breeding with striped trout. Both corvina and mite stockings were available. They are not a local bass, so that is not the reason. Although neither of the striped bass we stock in many lakes nor the rainbow trout we actively stock are indigenous, I believe any form of corvina stocking is long gone.
When you enter the city, they have a large metal cut-out of the renowned Brady Buck. I just drove through Brady. Growing up, it was a big deal, but you no longer speak about that penny. Why don’t you actually understand the big money in Texas’ past in that way? Thank you.

Editor: It’s because there are more money on high-fenced elk ranches that are larger than that one. If you conduct an online search for Texas trophy deer, you will come across buck after completely huge bull that were produced through selective breeding, protein feeding, etc. And while that’s perfectly good, it has caused many people to lose sight of the fact that big bucks come naturally. Both the” hole in the horn” and the enormous common” Jordan buck” are unknown to you. That’s unfortunate because all of these elk are genuine natural wonders.

Chester, I enjoyed listening to your radio on the cattle mutilations and seeing you and your friends consider possible human causes. Have you ever come across a review on chemistry involving those cattle?

Writer: I appreciate it very much. Other than the media release that made the entire story public, I was not informed of any toxicity reports and was unable to obtain a formal declaration from law enforcement. I don’t feel too bad because neither was ABC News. As we have likewise covered animal killings that now appear to be spreading, there are some strange things happening with cattle in Texas right now.
