President Donald Trump’s administration has increased its efforts in recent weeks concerning student visa holders at universities nationwide, but now it appears to have changed course, with many terminations being reinstated.
Some of Texas’ most prominent universities, including the University of Texas (UT) at Austin and Texas A&M University, had reported that dozens of international students had their records terminated with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) — more than 170 at the UT System alone.
