For the open Texas House seat being vacated by Democratic state representative R. D.” Bobby” Guerra (D-McAllen ), who announced his retirement in October, there were fightoffs on Tuesday night in the Democratic and Republican primaries.
According to the Texas Secretary of State, former Texas Capitol staffer Julio Salinas received 56 % of the vote, while former McAllen City commissioner and bank executive Victor” Seby” Haddad received 44 %.
