Cantu-Castle received 32 % of the vote in the Democratic primary, while Ochoa won 46 % of the vote. In the November 3 general election, the winner will face Republican state representative Janie Lopez (R-San Benito ), as Democrats hope to win the district’s midterm elections under President Donald Trump.
