In discharge elections, two Democrats and two Democrats are vying to replace Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo as the county’s most populated state in Texas.
Past Houston Mayor Annise Parker won the March 3 Democratic primary with 47 % of the vote, only three points short of the required 50 percent to avoid a runoff. Parker squares off against Letitia Plummer, a former Houston City Council associate, who finished in second place with 37 %.
