With 93 ayes and 47 nays, House Joint Resolution (HJR) 138 by Rep. Daniel Alders (R-Tyler) ultimately failed the House on Monday afternoon, leaving a cloud of dust behind it — as it highlighted one of the major priority differences between the Democratic and Republican party platforms: climate change, or the lack thereof.
