New Texas Saltwater Regulations Take Impact

Oyster reef restoration along the Texas coast has recently received a$ 5 million commitment from the CCA Texas Executive Board. The CCA Texas table happily committed the money for future projects in regions shielded from commercial crop with unanimous approval from all board members present at their meeting in August.
According to John Carlson, Chairman of the CCA Texas Board,” We are excited to make this statement and would like to bless our members, volunteers, donors, and business partners for their continued help.” Without the grassroots fundraising efforts within our group chapters, this level of funding would not be feasible. We hope the membership finds satisfaction in the knowledge that their efforts are succeeding.
According to Robby Byers, Executive Director of CCA Texas,” OCA Texas and the Building Conservation Trust, the SCA National Habitat Program, have already spent practically$ 2 million on oysters coral restoration and study in Texas.” ” This additional$ 5 million is justified and necessary for the recovery of our oyster reefs, given the natural and man-made threats to our bay systems.”
To ensure that venture funding is complementary to efforts with shared goals, CCA Texas will collaborate with non-profit, administrative, and political partners to identify certain areas of need.
