
Financial tycoons have started a wave of cash from climate-focused organizations aimed at moving funds and businesses that pledge to achieve renewables goals, including BlackRock, which has had a volatile social relationship with the State of Texas.
In a letter to clients on Thursday, BlackRock disclosed its intention to leave the Net Zero Asset Managers ( NAZM ) initiative, which” support]s ] the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner, in line with global efforts to limit warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius…and]supports ] investing aligned with net zero emissions by 2050 or sooner”.
