Editor: Wade Falk

Wade Falk (Software Developer)

Lord Wade Falk was born in the City of Grand Blanc, Michigan (located just south of Flint, Michigan). At the age of 8, he and his parents moved to the small town of Rincon, Georgia, and quickly setting eyes on North Charleston, South Carolina. There Wade focused on the self-taught mechanical engineering skills alongside team-building environments. However, after a few moves between Georgia and South Carolina, Wade’s sights shifted to computer programming during his Junior year at Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston, South Carolina. Graduated in August 2015 as part of an early graduation program.

Upon graduation and with a strong, single mother working for Boeing and had a joint-project for NASA, the two moved throughout the states of Alabama, Louisana, and, now, Texas. Since early 2019, efforts have continued managing full-time positions in Subway restaurants and then IBEX Global performing technical support for Apple, Inc.; all the while pursuing a degree in Software Development at Baker College. As of October 19th, 2020, Wade Falk finished his Bachelor’s degree in Software Development with plans to find companies to program games for all ages and especially our youth to learn more about the world around us. The mother found a man during these travels named Carmelo Santiago Jr., a Master Sergeant veteran who served in the United States Air Force for 22 years.

Volunteered in functions aid those within our nation’s citizens in need. Participating in various recreational stores as an event planner to help those without means of playing classic board games and card games the chance to learn. Donating what toys gathered from personal collection and community to the Toys-For-Tots Foundation and numerous Goodwill Donation Centers in the states of Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas. This contribution to the Hill Country Post and Mission Transition Foundation is another venture to keep the spirits high with this nation of ours.

With an entry-level career in software development, there is more than enough room to grow. In preparation, there have been efforts to familiarize oneself with programming languages like C#, C++, HTML/CSS, XML, SQL, and Java among some lesser-known like ActionScript 3.0, BBCode, and Markdown. These programming languages have been put to use in development environments like Adobe, Blender, Microsoft Visual Studio, NetBeans, Unreal 4 Game Engine, Unity Game Engine, and WordPress. If that flies overhead, essentially, those programming languages have led to the development of personal projects like 12-Player Battleship, store shopping list planner, Wolfenstein mods, and college assignments relating to computer applications.

Presently serving as one of the editors on the Hill Country Post, and a member of the Mission Transition Foundation. Providing additions to the Hill Country Post including the initial Hill Country Community Shop, Hill Country Post Newsletter, the addition of Blanco and Kendall counties, more information for each county under our Counties area, and ease-of-use improvements on the website and our social media profiles.
