at a press conference held on Tuesday night in Hunt, Georgia. Greg Abbott confirmed 161 people are still unaccounted for as rescue teams work around the clock as a result of 109 fatalities caused by severe flooding in Central Texas, including 94 in Kerr County only.
Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows (R-Lubbock ) joined Abbott. Both position leaders spent the time observing the magnitude of the disaster to help them plan ahead and organize their urgent needs.
