Gov. Greg Abbott is demanding the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) use “existing tools” to strip the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) of its nonprofit status and “eliminate” the organization’s ability to operate in Texas.
On November 18, Abbott designated the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as “foreign terrorist organizations.”
