The First Annual National Brian Sowers Legacy CRAPPIE Tournament and Scholarship Dinner will take place in East Texas on October 4 and 5.
Brian Sowers, the words of Crappie fish, was well-known by anglers because he ran tournaments all over the US. He was renowned for saying to children,” Give a Child a Box, No an X-Box,” and to parents,” Get outside and produce memories” by sharing his favourite fishing passion with younger generations.
Partnering with Crappie Anglers of Texas, Crappie Masters, Marion County Commissioners Court and Patterson Pest Patrol, we are hosting in his honor, the first national monthly game. Holidays begin on Friday, October 4th with a meal at the Jefferson Institute. We call it” Group FOR A PURPOSE”.
Dinner is catered by the 1852 Restaurant in Jefferson, TX. Talk to live songs as you enjoy a silent and lived auction, prizes, door prizes and great split the pot games, not to mention superb food!
Space is limited, so do n’t wait to get your reservation in for dinner. The event will take place on Saturday, October 5th, at Lake O’ the Pines in Avinger, Texas, in both the Professional and Amateur groups.
A Kids ‘ Angeling Competition will also be held at Hurricane Creek Park. The second 100 children to sign up for a free fishing rod, reel, and box of tackle are given a free fishing pole. All hook provided. Prizes for finalists. A good bag with a sizable entry fee. Payment is one in five in both groups. We are currently siting at$ 75, 000 in prize money.
Entry:$ 125 for an Amateur group of 2, and$ 225 for a Professional squad of 2. While weigh-in happens, find ready…the Shriner idiots will be in the crowd, thousands of merchant stalls, auctions, awards AND a FREE fish fry for everyone!
