The Texas Department of Public Safety ( DPS) will no longer permit” transgender Texans” to change their sex on driver’s licenses and state ID cards, according to an internal email sent to KEYE.

The plan will allow for a sex change on an Card or driver’s license, but only in the situation of a administrative error.
