Nearly 50, 000 Texas public school students leave homeschool each year, according to new data collected by the Texas Home School Coalition ( THSC ).
Although its previous reporting indicated between 20 000 and 30 000 students had left public schools each year, the data was incorrect because it had been based on reports from the Texas Education Agency ( TEA ), which stated that” students between grades 7 and 12 were only allowed to attend homeschool,” THSC stated that the data was faulty because it had been based on the Texas Education Agency’s ( TEA ) reports.
