The Global Alliance for Responsible Media ( GARM ), a social media triumphant, filed a federal antitrust lawsuit against the social media giant X Corp., formerly known as Twitter and owned by Texas billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk. The lawsuit alleges that the global association of advertisers operated a conspiracy that cost X billions in advertising revenue and that did so defrauded the public of fair competition in the social media industry.
X Corp. CEO Linda Yaccarino made the allegations in an opened letter to marketers, noting that the most recent findings in a U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary research revealed that GARM targeted X in what is likely an illegitimate protest.
