A new study published in the journal Frontiers reveals that great white sharks are more prevalent than originally believed and are now essentially minimal in the Bahamas. A team of researchers, using sound monitoring to track the movements of white sharks, found nearly a hundred visits by white sharks over a five-year time.
” Historically, it’s been assumed that a lack of sightings means white sharks do n’t visit The Bahamas at all. Our research suggests that white sharks migrate through deeper reef waters between dusk and dawn in accordance with their findings, according to Dr. Tristan Guttridge, and that human action and white sharks habitat does not clash. These results demonstrate how much more research is required and how much more we can learn about these stunning species.
The white fish, Carcharodon carcharias, is an iconic zenith monster, playing an important natural role across its variety.
