Oh my goodness, the yellow waves of rice fill the sky.
In South Dakota, I’ll never forget the north lights blaring loudly from a group of wolves on a distant hill while sitting by myself on a boulder. As I ended a long time of bird hunting with friends, the skies were really open and full.
For colored mountain’s queen. Above the fruited flat.
As one of the distant peaks had a light purple hue, I suddenly understood the phrase “purple mountain’s highness” as the moon rose above the Montana mountains. In a particular time, two ptarmigan bucks were right in front of me in an extreme battle, almost as if to state,” I’ll be the king of this beautiful scene.”
Oh, America, how God had truly poured His love on thee, even before anyone other than the Creator Himself set foot below. You were unique.
And I consider myself to be very fortunate to have seen so much of your charm.
From the amazing green dolphin that adorned our shores on the Louisiana beach to the countless ducks and geese I have seen in those wetlands,
From the bighorn in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains to the great eastern rooster I captured in the rolling hillsides of New York, I took pictures at 12, 000 feet.
And Texas, our Texas, oh storm my house position.
From the large cash of the Pineywoods to the valley’s clear streams, the pony deer of the west, and the Pineywoods ‘ big money to the valley’s otters. You are remarkable.
Because of its large landmasses, First Nations citizens and European inhabitants did not choose America. It was because of vast forest, waters and wildlife. America’s very glory is tied to its rawness.
The world is preserved in savagery, according to scientist Henry David Thoreau.
There is no denying that America without wilderness is never America at all, even though the precise purpose of Thoreau’s offer has been debatable since he wrote it.
And the further we get from the origins our predecessors planted, the further off track we’ve become. There are goals on top of these that want to destroy this country. To rob it and exert power over it. To control it and distract.
There are so many accents demanding our focus, it is crucial that all hunters, anglers, hikers, tourists and wildlife fans go out into the crazy for quality.
I recently left a far-off place in Texas and found myself in crystal clear water, surrounded by beautiful marble rocks, without anyone else. Yet my hunting companions were only a few miles away, with only me, God, and His creation.
No one was letting me choose who to enrage. There was no one demanding democratic involvement, holding a sign or struggling.
That was…peace.
From these, America appeared quite stunning, and I’m hoping to see it again in Alaska. The only intention as I attempt to picture Dall sheep is to share one of the Lord’s finest creations with the world so that people may be interested in their existence.
There is only one real agenda when I’ve been on moose captures, supply enhancement projects, big turkey releases, and bay cleanups. To maintain America’s wildness and assure that no matter where they came from, no matter where they were found, there was still a marvellous legacy there.
Do n’t let anyone tell you America is not beautiful anymore.
Do n’t let anyone tell the nation is not worthy of adoration. I have ventured from sea to shining sea and feel blessed I was born around to experience the wild things that inhabit our forests, lakes, mountains, plains, swamps, plains and permafrost.
Just if you bring politicians and media manipulation into the wilderness.
Thank God for pouring His most innovative gifts upon the United States of America and its wild lands as we approach the world.
