At the Press Club of Southeast Texas ‘ yearly” Excellence In Media Awards,” TF&G Editor-in-Chief Chester Moore won four first-place prizes and five more categories.
Moore won the first place in the impartial blog group for the next year in a row for” Higher Calling Wildlife.”Moore’s job extends beyond written news, he secured two initial- place awards in movie categories. His video” Flying Upstream”, a unique exploration of fly fishing, and” Higher Calling Wildlife: The Elevation”, which highlights his outreach efforts to children with special problems in Colorado, both earned top honours.
Working with filmmaker Paul Fuzinski of Aptitude Outdoors ( and TF&G columnist ) to bring these stories to life, Moore produced, wrote, and narrated these videos. He also starred in them.
Working with Paul as well as video Seth Geib has been a means to get a pro-conservation message out there. Paul is a great companion in these documentaries. These men are excellent, and I’m looking forward to finishing the new movies we’re producing right now,” Moore said.

Additionally, Moore was recognized with a first- place award for” Best Newscast” for his” Higher Calling Wildlife” podcast episode titled” Tracking Eastern Turkeys”.
His work on environmental journalism received second-place awards for his articles” Bighorns on the Fringe” and” A Sheep Dog Of A Different Kind,” both of which appeared in” Wild Sheep,” The publication of the Wild Sheep Foundation.
Chester Moore has also been featured in the social media, encouraging composing for his Texas Fish & Game article, as well as podcasts, underscoring his commitment to raising awareness of wildlife and conservation through various media outlets.
