For trophy fish enthusiasts, this is a fantastic and really exciting time of year to go fishing in South Texas! Baffin Bay is the first place that comes to mind when people consider catching prize fish. But we want to alter that perspective and highlight some fantastic locations in the Corpus Christi Bay program, which stretches from Nueces Bay to the Laguna Drive shore and produces some excellent trout and redfish.
Fish and redfish congregate near flats and drop-offs, just like we do on the Laguna Drive shoreline, making it possible to capture reliable limits of them. This geography can be found in a number of places, including Nueces Bay’s North Shoreline, Oso Bay, Night Hawk, and Bird Island. In light of this, we have advised our customers to exercise caution when deciding which tuna and how many they want to catch. Texas Parks and Wildlife have implemented new size restrictions in response to the most recent significant ice, which has greatly improved our sea program. Whatever returned to its original limits and sizes this past August. We are trying to emphasize the importance of being concerned fishermen and not taking out of the system more than we need to, keeping in mind that it really helped. We both agree that it is very satisfying to photograph a trout that is over 25 and release it to lay her eggs so that someone else can eventually get her.

This time of year, when it comes to catching these over 25-inch salmon, people usually refers to MirrOlure MirROdine or corkys. But when the circumstances permit, a topwater is one of our beloved go-to bait. The One Knocker Spook, She Dog, and the Skitter Walk are just a few of the baits we suggest to get these great girls to reach them. A very effective way to get your best results is to fetch the walk the dog movement with a little pause. One of the most heart-pounding adrenaline rushes you’ll always feel on the water is watching that large golden lips engulf your topwater.

When I use soft polymers and corkys to entice both large redfish and fish, I personally enjoy feeling that great beat. The Down South Victorious Secret Super Model with a bright prospect mind is one of my favorite soft plastic colours I wear at this time of year. That bright head head might be more of a confidence booster, but it consistently seems to work for me.
As this time of year when you see a few hairstyle flips slow down and work the area completely and quietly, we advise targeting areas with particularly good fish behavior. Work the edges of potholes and lawn lines carefully to avoid rushing through them.
