The Duck Stamp Modernization Act, which authorizes the electrical stamp to be used throughout the entire waterfowl hunting season, was unanimously approved by the US Senate. Its goal is to increase the accessibility of the national duck stamp.

Garret Graves( R-LA ) and Mike Thompson( D-CA ) introduced a companion bill that has been approved by the House Natural Resources Committee and is awaiting full House of Representatives approval.
