For the second consecutive year, THE 2023 TOYOTA SHARELUNKER program provided an interesting collection season. 18 Legacy Class ShareLunkers from four different lakes across the state were donated by fish, but Oxygen. H. Ivie in west Texas received the most attention. In 2023, the waterbody produced a record-breaking 15 Legacy Class fish, breaking previous years of 12 each during the 2021 and 2022 set conditions.

O. H. Ivie has amassed 39 combined Legacy Lunkers and numerous Legend Class comments over the past three choices conditions. The 2023 season’s shows include:
15 Tradition Course ShareLunkers set a record for O. H. Ivie.
Five carp that are over 14 pounds in weight.

On the same day( Feb. 2 ), anglers Dalton Smith and Caden Cowan reeled in Legacy Lunkers at O. H. Ivie.
Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Washington are among the seven states that anglers from etched their names into the agency’s report text.
• ShareLunker 642 rose to the positions of eighth-largest largemouth bass always recorded in Texas and seventh-biggest Legacy Class ShareSunkER( public or private ).
This year’s Legacy Lunkers were genetically analyzed by TPWD scientists, who made some ground-breaking findings. Of the 39 Legacy Class ShareLunkers caught at O. H. Ivie over the past three years, only 644 has been identified as a recover bass.

But, ShareLunker 639 was a fish recover that had genetics samples collected as part of the year-round data collection system. Josh Jones had formerly caught that fish and submitted it as a Legend Class Lunker on December 17, 2021.
The family of the 8.15-pound carp that Wade Allen caught on June 17, 2021, is ShareLunker 634 from Nacogdoches. Due to Mr. Allen’s find, Sharelunker 634 had not been added to the program, indicating that it had an in-lake spawn. Both ShareLunker 634 and Allan’s get are original largemouth bass from Florida.
In addition, ShareLunker 649 is a half-sister of ShareLineKilter 627 and is an issue of the same name as ShareSlanker 535. Additionally, genetic research revealed that ShareLunker 636 and ShareSnake 643 are related to ShareNaker 612, 650, and 620, respectively.
For the 2023 season, a new technique is in place. ShareLunkers in the Legend Class no longer require access on a level that has been certified. To be eligible, fishermen had upload a digital level image of their Lunker.
