Despite their pending divorce, state senator (R-McKinney ), according to a new campaign ad, it appears that her husband, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, is the state’s next U.S. senator.

That “elephant” is that she divorced her husband in 2025. Paxton stated in a blog on X at the time that she was seeking the detachment on “biblical grounds.”
” I have sincerely pursued peace and believe marriage is a divine contract. However, in light of recent discoveries, she continued,” I do not believe that it honors God or is loving to myself, my children, or Ken to stay in the marriage.”
