
The Pentagon authorized the reinstatement of a flu vaccination mandate for some trees of the U.S. Armed Forces following an earlier this month virus outbreak at a Texas Air Force base.
Per an executive attempt from President Donald Trump in September, Pete Hegseth, director of the U.S. Department of Defense, made a proclamation denying the requirement for flu shots on April 21. Hegseth cited the COVID-19 demands that were put into effect between 2021 and 2023 and described them as likewise “overreaching.”
