Gov. Greg Abbott reiterated his earlier request to thaw academic tuition and fees for the 2026–2027 class time in a letter sent to all Texas community college and university presidents on Wednesday morning.
In 2024, Abbott directed a education ice for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 academic years.
