In South Texas, a sterile fly facility was recently constructed as part of the federal government’s ongoing effort to stop the New World screwworm ( NWS ) from spreading.

At the groundbreaking, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX ) and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins were present.
