In a letter to Texas ‘ public university systems, the governor addressed the Health and Human Services Commission ( HHSC ) and the Department of State Health Services ( DSHS). Over worries about the People’s Republic of China, Greg Abbott directed them to evaluate their security.
According to the letter, the Trump administration’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency ( CISA ) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) “released a number of notices describing security flaws found in Chinese manufactured patient monitoring devices.”
