
State Sen. Nathan Johnson (D-Dallas) and former Galveston Mayor Joe Jaworski will head to a Democratic primary runoff election for Texas attorney general after neither reached the 50 percent margin needed to win the primary outright on Tuesday.
According to unofficial election results, Johnson led with 48 percent of the vote, while Jaworski trailed at 27 percent, and former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Tony Box followed closely with 25 percent.
