State Rep. Cecil Bell Jr. lost the Republican primary in his re-election bid for Texas House District (HD) 3 to his challenger Kristen Plaisance on Tuesday night.
Plaisance collected 55 percent of the vote by Wednesday morning, while Bell came in with 45 percent — a large enough gap that no runoff will be necessary.
