Representation of West Texas’ Congressional District (CD) 19 — the “food, fuel and fiber capital of the world” — is up for grabs between the candidates contesting for outgoing Congressman Jodey Arrington’s (R-TX-19) seat in the 2026 primary election.
The district remains heavily Republican at R-78% according to The Texan’s Texas Partisan Index, a number which did not change after the 2025 redistricting. CD 19 has marginally increased in its gravitation toward the GOP, with numbers from 2020–2022 showing an R-76% partisan leaning.
