Attorney General Ken Paxton sued Snapchat’s owner, Snap Inc., for “deceiving families, endangering children by subjecting them to addictive characteristics, and serving as a breeding ground for serious conduct.”
Paxton argued in the complaint that” Snap tells Texas parents and their kids that older articles on its system, including drugs, porn, alcohol, and profanity, is’infrequent’ and’moderate’.” He called the company’s claims “lies,” and he continued to refer to the app as being “rife with exceedingly adult content in all of those categories, which is frequently and easily visible to Texas children and teenagers.”
