Democrats and Republicans in Harris County engaged in a war of words Monday over alleged voter suppression and whether federal monitors are permitted to enter polling locations.
“It is complete hypocrisy for Democrat elected officials in the State of Texas to ask for the Department of Justice to come down and look at five urban counties when every one of those urban counties has either Democrat elected officials in charge of elections administrators,” said Texas Sen. Paul Bettencourt (R-Houston) during a Monday press conference.
