Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton reached a settlement with Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. that resulted in the company donating around 2.16 million eggs to food banks across the state.
Paxton sued Cal-Maine, one of the largest egg suppliers in Texas, in April 2020 for allegedly price gouging and illegally raising the cost of eggs by roughly 300 percent.
