After Secretary of State ( SOS ) Jane Nelson gained access to a federal citizenship database used to cross-reference the voter rolls, 33 potential noncitizens who voted in the November 2024 general election will be reported to the Texas Office of the Attorney General ( OAG ).
The SOS claimed that they were able to identify these alleged noncitizen voters after gaining access to the USCIS Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements ( SAVE ) database, an online tool used by government agencies to verify immigration status.
