27 Different States Join Texas in the SCOTUS Case Against App Store Age Verification Law.

In a bid to keep the law in place while the case is pending, Texas has joined 27 state prosecutors general to fight the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) in defending its App Store Accountability Act.

State Senator Angela Paxton (R-McKinney ) and Texas House Speaker Caroline Fairly (R-Amarillo ) both passed Senate Bill ( SB ) 2420 last year. It requires operators to verify the age of consumers and requires parental consent for app store purchases and downloads for those under 18 years old.
